Mac McCrary

The McCrary Company (TMC) is a governance consulting organization that offers a complete range of services to a variety of non-profit healthcare organizations. Services include the design and facilitation of board retreats, educational presentations on numerous topics and customized consulting engagements.

Mac McCrary, President of TMC, is an experienced hospital trustee. Over the years he has held a number of board leadership positions (chairman, treasurer and chair of numerous committees and task forces) in hospitals and other healthcare related organizations. He has hands on experience with organizations that were experiencing rapid growth, confronting financial difficulties, going through affiliations, changing CEO's, reorganizing their governance structure, and facing many other issues. He was appointed by the Governor of NC to the Acute Care Committee of the State Health Coordinating Council (SHCC) in 2001. He served as a board member of the NC Hospital Association (NCHA) from 1996 - 1999 and received NCHA's Trustee Service Award in 1997. He was awarded NCHA's highest honor, the Trustee Merit Award, in 2001.

He retired from Wachovia Bank as a senior officer following 32 years of service. He was a City President for Wachovia for 23 years and was Business Banking sales manager for western NC when he retired. He now serves as Executive Director of Blue Ridge Healthcare Foundation in Morganton, NC.
