Sharon S. Dunn

Sharon S. Dunn has over 20 years of senior management experience in managed care organizations, teaching hospitals, and with a Fortune 100 enterprise. Currently, Sharon is Practice Leader, Healthcare, for Behavioral Science Technology, Inc. Most recently, as a certified Six Sigma Black Belt with DuPont, she designed and managed a number of healthcare-related projects and held senior executive roles in their Safety Resources business unit and as their healthcare administration corporate leader. She has clinical experience from The Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she was a registered nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and a certified member of the Heart/Lung Transplant team.

Sharon has spoken on the topic of Safety in Health Care at numerous national conferences which include, AETNA's Global Leadership Team Forum, the Annual National Patient Safety Foundation's Congress, and, most recently, the Health Forum and AHA Leadership Summit.

Sharon received her Masters of Administrative Science from The Johns Hopkins University which included the study of alternative healthcare systems in London, England. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Delaware. Sharon serves on JCAHO's Business Advisory Group and as a Board Member for a healthcare-related organization.
